Never deal with the hassle of manually filling out a USPS Certified Mail form again with our Certified Mail Envelopes! Designed to be compatible with USPS regulations, Certified Mail Envelopes contain all the necessary tracking information without stepping out of your office or home.

Each printer-ready sheet folds into an adhesive envelope that can fit around a standard #10 envelope or the equivalent contents. It incorporates a detachable postcard that will be mailed back to you with the recipient's signature and the date of delivery, for extra security.

The beauty of these envelopes is their ease of use - rather than having to manually fill out forms at the Post Office, the software will do all the work for you. Just enter the needed information into the software and print. All you have to do is take the labeled envelope to the Post Office for the clerk's endorsement.

The tracking number for the mailpiece is automatically logged in the software, allowing you to see all scanned events up to the moment it's delivered. Further, the label is compatible with the USPS Electronic Return Receipt feature, storing a scan of the recipient's signature viewable by you on demand from up to 2 years from delivery.

Printing Postage

To print postage onto these Certified Mail Labels select label template SDC-3810 when using the Envelopes interface in software or Online - Note: Premier Plan or above is required. This option will be available in the Printing On drop-down menu when you are sending letters, bills, large envelopes, or thick envelopes, and can be used with First-Class Mail or Priority Mail.

When printing postage onto the 3810 Certified Mail Labels the following options will be available:

  • Certified Mail: Yes
  • Electronic Return Receipt: Yes (only available in version 10.0 or higher)
  • Physical Return Receipt Card: Yes
  • Restricted Delivery: Yes, optional
  • Proof of Mail Receipt: Yes

Apply the postage, return address, and delivery address labels as shown in the sample below. It is important to ensure that the green portion of the label is folded over the top-center of the label so that the front and back say "Certified Mail".

The Electronic Return Receipt image can be retrieved as follows:

  • Go to and select the "Track and Confirm" option or copy this URL:
  • Enter the certified mail tracking number and click "Find"
  • The USPS website will show detailed tracking info. To view the signature, click on the "Return Receipt Electronic" link in the far right column
  • In the dialog that appears enter your name and email address and click "Request Email"
  • The USPS will email you a PDF of the signature that will appear as follows
